RE: ODELL SHULAMIT AMBASH -- request for opening a police investigation circumstances that led to her death
Your response within 7 days is requested, given the urgency of the matter, but no later than within 45 days, pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Reform Act (1958)
Dear Commander HaLevy:
Last week we learned from social networks of the death of the girl ODELL SHULAMIT AMBASH, after she was hospitalized for months in serious conditions. Mainstream media continue to ignore this serious case. However, according to social networks, the girl was discovered in the settlement of Tekoa (West Bank) or its vicinity, unconscious and showing signs of severe violence, apparently also sexual violence. Moreover, the reports and attached documents show that the Israel Police refuses to investigate this serious case.
Last night I briefly reviewed the case in an anti government corruption protest event in Petah Tikva. Mody Levin, Deputy Commander of the Israel Police National Fraud Investigation Unit (retired), spoke in the same event as well. Levin opined that it is the duty of police to investigate such case, and suggested that I directly approach the Israel Police, Jerusalem District commanders.
Attached please find:
a) June 13, 2017 Israel Police Certification of Filing Complaint (257930/2017);
b) June 20, 2017 Israel Police Notice of Closing Investigation on June 14, 2017, "Reason: Lack of criminality".
Therefore, I herein request that the Israel Police of its own initiative open an investigation of circumstances that led to the death of ODELL SHULAMIT AMBASH.
Truly,
