So who won   in WWII. Stalinism? Not   a chance. When Hitler attacked Russia Stalin   realized that Stalinism was not a tool to come out victorious in the fight to death with the   external enemy. He thus appealed to the only   force   available   in Russia- to the   traditional patriotism, the one which was always there, the one which was   risen during the early socialism (whoever knows about Great French Revolution would recall the   rise of patriotism in those times), the one which   was deeply rooted in the Russian and Soviet psyche, the sense of pride,   freedom and stiff resistance, also   coming with forgiveness beyond belief..   Yes, the nation forgave its leader and brought him to the helm again. His way of wining was    very controversial, he caused millions of casualties which could be avoided, he afterwards used the Victory for his own power; yes, all of that is true. But   the people who fought   and won reached such a high level of   moral superiority over the barbarous machine of Hitler that   the light from Heaven fell upon them and in sorts they all became saints. It was a fight   between Good and Evil, Russia was an agent of Good and     (here I am going to say something sacrilegious) if Jesus   really would   have resurrected in 1941-1945 He would have joined the Red Army.    That's the truth.

So from my point of view whoever now tries to equate Nazism and   Socialism   is a damned liar. Whoever from the   Russian side, whether in immigration or in Russia proper does it   just spits in his/her own face. Whoever does it for money is   a bastard.   Whoever does it   due to stupidity and ignorance    is a   traitor; he/she betrays those who saved the whole world from destruction.

I escaped   the bastards with the duty. That duty was and is to honor the good   and honest people   no matter what   was their ideology. That duty was to state the truth no matter what. I follow   my duty. There is no other way. No, Nazism and socialism are not the same. As they say in Odessa, those are two big differences.
