- This is unfortunately "Institutionalized Racism" and it comes from thetop-down. Every single war that has been fought since the Second World War the military uses slurs against the people they arefighting:
Krauts: Germany
Gooks, Chinks: Vietnam, Korea
Skinnies: Somalia
Rag/Towel Heads, Hajis, Camel Jockeys: Everywhere in theMid-East
- I wonder how the Tulane community would act if these targets were other stereotypical ethnic/religious groups, such as being Africans, all Orthodox Jews, Asians, etc. I understand that the ROTC isn't fighting a "war" against directly against any of the aforementioned groups, but how would Tulane's students feel if they identified with one of those groups who were a target for shooting? Like myself, they would probably be horrified on many differentlevels.
