Better yet how about a nationwide movement to do away with the two party systems we have here in the US. It is time that we the people vote for those individuals who will represent our interests in Washington and not for a political party. As it stands now, any 3rd party candidate who receives votes only serve to aid one of the two main political parties. However, for the uninformed, it gives the appearance that they had a choice to begin with. In other words, an illusion.
Obama is doing the same thing politicians have been doing for years and years in this country....they follow the money. Their world revolves around that money, while the people they are supposed to represent lose their homes to corporate greed, lose their jobs to corporate greed, lose members of their family in wars due to corporate greed and power, and the last nail in the coffin, lose our environment to corporate greed and power.
Until those in Washington have to live in the same world as the rest of us, in the same circumstances as the rest of us, they will never understand what is truly going on.
Instead they will sit in their Ivory towers and gated communities, enjoying the finest health care, security, homes, and lifelong pensions. Their sons and daughters will never have to go to the wars if they don't want to.
All on the backs of the people they were supposed to represent.
"We the People" died a long time ago. It's now "We the Corporations". And the sad part is we let it happen.
