New data on the actual risks of the COVID vaccines

The researchers raise the fascinating question of just how the COVID vaccines result in these additional lives saved. They suggest three possible factors--it's possible that people who have chosen to get vaccinated have healthier lifestyles, they may be healthier in general, and perhaps there were some deaths from COVID in the unvaccinated cohort that were attributed to other causes. More research is needed and being planned.

Whatever the reasons for the strikingly reduced rates of non-COVID-related death among these 6.4 million vaccinated Americans, the fact remains that the vaccines emphatically do not put us at risk, or "only" reduce COVID-related deaths--they also are associated with significantly reduced risk of dying from causes other than COVID.

I know from experience that mere facts will have no impact whatsoever on OpEdNews contributors or others who have seamlessly folded COVID and the COVID vaccines into long-and-passionately-held belief systems about The Great Reset or other elite plans to control, sterilize, depopulate or otherwise harm us. OpEdNews readers will no doubt find the same categorical claims about killer vaccines and the satanic groups behind them appearing in posts next week and the weeks after.

My hope is that those of us who have chosen to get vaccinated can be strongly reassured about the safety of the vaccines, and, more importantly, that people who haven't yet gotten vaccinated but who are open to facts and reason will be strongly encouraged to get the jabs.
