Mr. Trump, You Have Some Esplaining to Do

Dear Mr. President:

Apart from specific accomplishments of your Administration, some fundamental questions remain in my mind. Not for my benefit, but for the benefit of your followers would you care to explain:

Why did you hire actors to applaud you when you came down the golden escalator?

Why did you say that Mexican immigrants are "drug dealers, criminals, rapists"?

Why did you fixate on The Wall?

What justification did you have to expect that Mexico would pay for The Wall?

Are you aware that the chant, "Lock her up," is not republican to the core?

Why did you ask Russia to find the famous 30,000 emails?

Why did you accept the 30,000 emails from Russia?

Why did you not report this event to the FBI?

Would you explain to your followers why these actions are not evident proofs of your collusion with Russia?

Why do you think that "America Alone" is a stronger country on the international scene?

Would you explain to your followers why do you believe that soldiers are "losers" and "suckers"?

Do you believe that, without American soldiers, Europe as well as America would still be free of Nazi and/or Communist dictators?

Or, do you believe that we Americans would be better off if ruled by Nazi and/or Communist dictators?

Do you seriously think that if you kill someone on Fifth Avenue people will let you get away with it?

Why, with your pardon of Michael Flynn and four convicted killers, are you resisting the will of the American people as expressed in appropriate courts of law?

Why do you so habitually lie?

Please, explain.

Why did you not have an victory speech ready?

Why were you disappointed at the size of the crowds gathered at your inauguration?

Why the long face at the swearing in?

Were you aware that you had already betrayed your oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.?

Why did you mock a young man suffering from cerebral palsy?

Do you think you have sufficient respect for women?

What do you think "respect" for human beings of ever race mean?

Why did you use vulgar language to describe African countries?

Are you aware that you are giving permission to other people to use vulgar language?

Why do you consistently choose to believe President Putin, rather than our Intelligence Agencies?

Why do you not publish records of your discussions with Russian officials?

Why, rather than restraining MBS, did you restrain the inquiry into the massacre of Khashoggi?

Why have you consistently refused to make public your IRS records?

Why are you not telling your followers that corporations benefited most from the 2017 tax cuts?

Why are you contradicting your Intelligence Agencies and your Secretary of State on the fact that Russia has lately penetrated so deeply into our most valuable computer records?

Why are you personally not working with-and why are you not allowing members of your Administration to work with-the transition team of the incoming Biden-Harris Administration?

Can you prove, without a scintilla of doubt, that your decisions have not been, and are not now, endangering the health and the national security of our fellow citizens?

Why are you insisting that there was fraud in the electoral system, while none of your lawyers has been able even to claim, let alone prove, that such fraud ever took place.

Why do you resist the will of the American people?

This list of questions can be made much longer.

Many people appear to prefer seeing Donald J. Trump eventually rot in jail for the rest of his life. I do not agree. It was not his fault that he was elected President of the United States. Especially if he should agree to step down from the Office of the Presidency even only one day before January 2021, I would recommend that Mr. Trump be offered the opportunity to answer any of the above question during proceedings of an ad hoc Truth, Reconciliation, and Restitution Commission along the lines espoused by President Mandela and Bishop Tutu of South Africa.

Some of these questions involve highly technical issues. President Trump should be offered the opportunity to rely on the expertise of those who helped him carry out any of the policies involved in these issues. These experts might also be part of independent, personal procedures involving an examination of the policies they helped President Trump to carry out.

We must break the circle of hate. It does not do any good to any one. We must learn how to trust the Power of Love.

In a democracy the individual human being counts for nothing. If I and a few other people share these convictions, we are not going to affect the common good. The above suggestions are clearly some of the ideas that are necessary to unify this fast-becoming ungovernable nation. To put any of the above ideas into action, please study the relevant petition; sign it, if you agree with it: ask your friends to sign it:

Carmine Gorga - see Wikipedia, Google Scholar, and Gravatar (a Globally Recognized Avatar). He is a Fulbright Scholar, president of The Somist Institute. In 1965, after a summer of intense intellectual struggle with the General Theory, Dr. Gorga changed one equation in Keynes' model of the economic system and found himself in a completely new intellectual world; this is the world of economic justice (not social justice) that existed before John Locke and Adam Smith. The transition to Concordian economics, greatly assisted by Professors Modigliani and Burstein, can be found in The Economic Process (2002), a book whose third edition has been annotated-again-by JEL in December 2017 (p. 1642). For the fullness of economic justice, the core of Concordian economics, see here and here. For a full understanding of Concordian economics, Gorga has gradually realized, we need to go beyond Individualism and Collectivism, toward Somism (men and women in the social context); from Capitalism and Socialism/Communism we need to go to Concordianism; then we need to pass from Rationalism to Relationalism.
