For such a beautiful place, the idea of revolution seems incongruent with Nepal's spirituality and wisdom. Yet, in situations where a ruling elite leaves little opportunity for the majority of the people, in areas like health care and jobs, the United States is not much different. In another photo, I recognize Nagendra Prasad Rijal, Nepal's ruling Prime Minister at the time, attending a ceremony, dedicating a statue for the King. Rijal is known for promoting Nepal as the "only Hindu Kingdom" in the world. He was also president of the World Hindu Federation. Close to the top of the world, my experience showed Nepal to be a small world, indeed.Â(Note: You can view every article as one long page if you sign up as an Advocate Member, or higher).
