Americans have become the largest congregation of sheeple on the planet. Sheeple is a group loosely defined as those who watch media propaganda, believe it, and do whatever said propaganda tells them to. There are now just a handful of companies who own over 90% of all national news broadcasts in the US. One group is so vile and demonic that it spits out hatred against the POTUS, his administration, and anything that isn't part of a neocon, hegemonic policy. That group openly advocates for radical change up to and including killing government officials and promoting an internal revolution. Even so, that group says it's "Fair and Balanced." They are also the most watched news organization on TV today. Along with the most listened to radio host, Rush Limbaugh, Americans are pummeled daily with news that we need to kill more people, destroy all other Americans who don't work or who have diseases which the health care industry refuses to treat, and hate the entire rest of the world for not kissing our feet more often. I have watched in horror as more and more violent language and violent action are professed and promoted in this country by spiteful, hateful, biased ignoramuses who will not stop until the entire world trembles at their feet. They have no problem watching the US tumble and fall due to their ignorant ways.

Thus we have become a nation of bumper sticker repeaters. Rather than debating logic, facts, and opinion, we shut down all discussions and reduce all communication to a few short bite-size words that are easy to remember and don't require any proof whatsoever of reality or logic. Here are but a few:

America, love it or leave it. Apparently, in the land of "free speech," Americans are only free to fully agree with the neocons. This phrase was real popular in the 60s. Back then they were called adults.

When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. There has never, ever been any legislation anywhere in the US to ban ALL guns. The mere fact that the police have always carried weapons, and the military has always had weapons, makes such a statement ludicrous. Yet, whenever one tries to debate the gun culture in the US (I have been banned by five different forums for merely stating that the gun issue cannot be debated in the US), that is invariably one of the first statements raised. Guns will never be outlawed, the whole statement is a farce, and anyone using it merely demonstrates how little logical thinking they possess, yet this statement means so much to so many sheeple out there, it's amazing.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Now this sounds completely absurd because it basically is absurd. Of course guns kill people. Why do ALL the militaries in the world have as their main, basic, universal weapon of choice, the gun? It's because of the gun's lethal effect. Try removing the gun from the equation and see if it makes sense. I've never seen anyone look at another, say the word, "bang," and have the other fall over. Guns kill. They do so quite easily. Other weapons require closer contact or are much more messy. Guns are neat, individual in nature and are usually quite effective. And with the invention of the drone and other remote controlled devices, the requirement that a person be present in the act of shooting has been removed from the equation.

More gun control leads to more gun violence. Less gun control leads to less gun violence. This seems illogical, and indeed it is completely so. The logic here invariably arrives at the conclusion that, no gun control means no gun violence. That is obviously an insane statement. But what Americans refuse to believe is that their society has the highest number of crimes on the planet, the greatest number of private guns, and one of the highest incidents of gun violence anywhere. This has little to do with the guns themselves, but a lot to do with the lack of respect Americans have for guns specifically, and social laws in general. If one is going to commit a crime, the availability of a gun to assist them merely raises the stakes of the possible end result. In Japan, private guns are almost nonexistent and they have a super strict gun control policy, yet their gun violence is extremely low.

I lived in Switzerland which has a very high level of guns in private hands, yet the amount of gun violence is greatly reduced. The reasons are quickly seen. The Swiss DON'T commit the same level of crimes, they respect the destructive power of guns much more so than we do, and since the vast majority of these guns are issued by their military, they are responsible for the proper care and storage of them. Every year they return to military service for three weeks where their guns are completely inspected and checked for usage. Any missing ammo or tampered-with gun will result in jail time.

But as I've said repeatedly, the gun debate died in the 1960s. Today, there is practically no one in the US who dares to raise the issue that something might just be wrong with our high level of gun violence. They would be shouted down and stomped on instantly. Americans are becoming more and more brazen with their absurd display of gun ownership. They are beginning to move around in society with guns at hand. They are showing up at assemblies with guns, increasing their open and hidden gun prevalence in those states that allow for that, and are increasingly belligerent in their outspoken rhetoric about their desire to use a gun in the near future. Signs of the need to "water the tree of freedom with blood" and other rebellious remarks are appearing in meetings across the country. If anything, the signs point to a marked increase in gun violence over the next few years, especially as the poorer and more vulnerable members of society lose all other means of survival and are increasingly pushed to the limit of their sustainability. It is a known fact that throughout history this section of society has been the easiest to target for any megalomaniac with a "sure fire way of getting back at those heathens who destroyed our way of life" and a penchant for having other people put their lives on the line for the maniac's pleasure. The fact that such groups already exist across the country is no solace at all.
