I'm majoring in music education with a jazz emphasis at the University of Miami. I'm also planning on double majoring in the jazz voice studio down there. Eventually, I'd like to teach jazz at the High School or College level. It's always been a dream of mine to teach and enrich the minds of young musicians. The fine arts are so important to me and I hope that, even in this time of budget cuts, schools make it a point to keep music as a creative outlet.

It's been a pleasure speaking with you, Carrie. Good luck with college - and your music. I think you'll make a great jazz teacher! The University of Miami is lucky to have you.
