Myers is on the board of Northrup Grumman, the world's fourth largest defense contractor. Their 2008 revenue was 34 billion dollars. In the 12 years from 1990 to 2002, Grumman contributed $8.5 million to federal campaigns, 63% of which ended up in Republican coffers.
According to CorpWatch, at least seven former Northrup Grumman officials, consultants, or major shareholders have held posts in the Bush administration, including the publicly disgraced Paul Wolfowitz and Scooter Libby.
Myers also serves on the board of United Technologies, with 2008 revenues of $60 billion. Military helicopters, particularly the UH-60 Black Hawk are one of their specialties.
