BL: Actually it's very easy to change your beliefs. The challenge is in discovering what your beliefs are. But even that isn't difficult--you just have to learn how. Once you've changed the beliefs that are in opposition, there will be a clear pathway for your desires to manifest.
Of course, it also helps to take action. Taking action towards your dream might be buying a book on investments if your dream is to be financially independent. If your dream is to create a romantic partner, the action might be to Feng Shui your bedroom, or make space for him or her to park in the garage.
Taking action in the physical world helps your dream come true faster, and it also provides invaluable feedback as to whether your dream is really what you want. If taking action towards your dream isn't fun, then maybe you don't really want this dream--in which case, dream a new dream. Or maybe you don't believe you'll ever get it--in which case change that belief.
A sign for a dream of more money might be turning on the television to a show about lottery winners. A sign for a dream of a loving relationship might be your best friend calling to tell you he or she has met someone.
When you receive a sign, you might be tempted to blow it off, or to respond with negative emotions, such as with the above example of your friend calling, you might respond, "Why not me?"
But if you see the signs as proof that your new energy is bringing you the dream, you can respond positively instead, thereby speeding up the dream!

JB: I first came across you when I listened to Nicole Mason's podcast interview series, A Balanced Life: How to Easily Harmonize Everything in Your Life for More Joy and Energy at Work and Home. She gathered a brain trust of experts and yours was one of the interviews that I enjoyed most. Since then, I've read your book, signed up for your daily e-blasts and I've created a list of intentions and beliefs that I've focused my attention on, as you recommend. During part of the time I was delving into The Map, I was between jobs. Being suddenly unemployed initially struck terror in my heart. How long would it take to get a new job? Being of a certain age, it was legit to wonder if I would ever get another job, let alone one that I could throw myself into. It was unnerving and potentially paralyzing. I definitely didn't want to go in that direction.
Instead, I took a few deep breaths and applied what I'd learned from your book to use that job hiatus productively. I carefully considered and defined what was most important to me, in order to 'create my reality' in the best possible way. I've been working at my new job for almost three months. And a few weeks ago, I ran across that list of my criteria and was wowed to discover that it was a virtual perfect match. This demonstrated for me, in a very practical way, how critical it is to invest time and effort to figure out what's important to us. The payoff is enormous. Thank you for your guidance, Boni. It was incredibly helpful. Now I'm mulling over what I can work on next!
BL: Wow--that is great conscious creating, Joan! I love hearing people's stories. Every person who shares his or her story strengthens everyone's ability to create consciously. If I could implant one idea in the hearts and minds of those who read this, it would be:
You are more powerful than you can imagine. You hold the key to your safety, your abundance, your health, your joy, your relationships, and every other aspect of your life.
You don't need to learn how to create your reality. You already create your reality perfectly. Everyone does. The law of attraction, like the law of gravity, works for everyone--24/7. The challenge is to learn to create consciously--and you can learn to do that. Everyone can.
JB: What a simple but incredibly exciting concept: Just say "No" to the blame game and get in there and make things happen. What's next for you? What have you got up your sleeve that you're prepared to share with our readers?
BL: Well, I'm super excited about my new book, The Map to Abundance - The No Exceptions Guide to Creating Money, Success, and Bliss. It will be published on October 5th, 2017.
