  • He has no national network of political and financial support.

  • He is considered by many to be too progressive.

  • He could be a "vote splitter" and throw an election to the GOP.

  • I'd now like to address all of the CONS surrounding Bernie as a candidate for President.

From what I gather, one of the main considerations that he has expressed, has to do with whether or not he should join the Democratic Party and thereby have access to their financial and network support. I believe that Bernie, along with too many others that are involved in politics, are not fully aware of the advantages that are rapidly evolving in the broad area of technology. Too many are still looking at political structures from a hierarchical perspective that radiates control from the top down. Today, and Obama was the first to provide a glimpse of this concept, political organizations can readily, and MUCH more effectively, identify and motivate the voting public with a bottom up approach.

Using state of the art marketing techniques and off-the-shelf software, Obama and his team of savvy experts took advantage of this contemporary technology to usher himself into the Presidency -- twice. This concept, which was actually pioneered by John Dean and his Fifty State Initiative, seems to be the wave of the future and any politician who has a handle on these technologies, will have a distinct advantage over his out-of-date opposition.

Another tremendous advantage that this approach provides, is that once in office, the candidate turned representative has an automatic, two-way digital communication path established and in place with his constituency. Speaking of constituency, where is Bernie going to get his national following? After all, for decades he has only represented the citizens of the state of Vermont.

For years, numerous polls have shown that the majority of the voting public has a record setting low opinion of our elected officials. Other polls have shown why; it is simply because our politicians are voting to satisfy the needs of the corporations and NOT voting for the needs and desires of the general populace. When polling digs into exactly what items the voting public wants and compares those results with what the elected officials are actually passing as legislation, it becomes quite obvious why there is such a gap in voter satisfaction.

So, let's construct a very simplistic platform for Bernie. We take the latest polls that indicate what the public wants and use them to build his platform. Quite simply, give the public what they value and want. Perhaps your next question is going to be, "How are we going to help him overcome the powerful moneyed interest that will strongly oppose him?" Well, this is where MOM comes into play " I told you that I would explain it.

A recent Gallup Poll found issues like jobs, wage issues, corporate corruption, immigration, education and poverty rated high on a list of things that Americans are concerned about. With a little research, it should be possible to locate, contact and align organizations who are working in those areas with Bernie Sanders' campaign. Enough of these organizations could create a coalition of movements, or a Movement Of Movements (MOM) that would be more diversified in appeal and powerful than either the Democratic or Republican parties.

This MOM could help Bernie in several ways. They could organize vast and wide-spread support, raise money, use their base as field agents, coordinate communications, do local promotions, vote (As well as monitor a corrupt voting system that has confused "Voter Fraud" with "Election Fraud.), etc. Through the use of the latest technologies, bottom up strategies, a platform that appeals to both existing parties and a MOM -- Bernie could create an unstoppable populist movement that could not only put him in the White House, but hopefully bring along like-minded control of both houses.

Should any of what I proposing here come to pass and Bernie Sanders creates and follows a game plan that allows him to be a player in the next Presidential election, his first critical hurdle will be to get into the televised national debates. Perhaps you can recall that H. Ross Perot was the last candidate to qualify and participate in the debates. It is generally accepted that his participation was instrumental in dethroning George H.W. Bush and soon after that election, monitoring of all national elections was taken away from the unbiased League Of Women Voters and placed under corporate controls.

Oh yeah, one more thing to consider. Who could be a dynamic running mate that would be a natural counter to Hillary? How about Elizabeth Warren? She has repeatedly stated that she is not interested in running for President, but has anyone asked about a VP slot " maybe to acquire a bit more political savvy with Bernie Sanders?
