America's democracy is morphing into a combination of a dictatorship, an oligarchy, and a developing police state

Trump's strategy appears to be based on the age old concept of divide and conquer, one that involves creating dissension and divisions between people of different races, ethnic groups or religions. That concept has worked successfully over centuries so we better not think that it could never work here in America because it most certainly can.

A great many Americans have this feeling of uneasiness and apprehension about their government even though they may not yet connect it to a totalitarian system. This includes millions Trump supporters who see great danger ahead and desperately want change. The problem is that they chose the wrong individual to bring it about, someone who will prove to be in opposition to what they really wanted.

This fear of the future is evidenced by the many protests that are going on throughout America, in the streets and in town hall meetings as Americans vent their anger and their frustrations. Finally, they are rising up against these do nothing, pathetic politicians. That's a great sign, one that indicates that they are ready to fight for what they think is right.

But this movement may soon come under massive attack. Check out this article that warns of even more suppression coming our way. The first paragraph should send chills up the spines of those who have been or will be involved with any form of dissension and protest against this government's actions.

It reports that "The (Republican-dominated) Arizona Senate on Wednesday voted to expand racketeering laws to allow police to arrest anyone involved in a protest and seize their assets, treating demonstrators like organized criminals." It further states that "The chilling of First Amendment rights in Arizona comes as Republican-dominated state legislatures push a wave of anti-protest legislation nationwide."

The foundations of this system of unlimited power and control over U.S. citizens have been developing over some time under various presidents. Now we have a president who has a very strong inclination, as well as the associated mindset, to force this democracy into a state of paralysis. We the people cannot stand by and let that happen.
