Recent violent activities across the country also make people pessimistic about the ongoing peace process. The incident created by the Maoists in the Kapilbastu district is yet another matter to be looked into carefully. If the Maoists used pressure tactics by which the government kneels down without any resistance, and other key players act like silent observers, it is imminent that no one can stop them from declaring Nepal a Maoists state.
Eventually, their dream may not last long -- but the country and people of Nepal will not be able to pay for the unlimited and widespread damage to lives and property that has been caused by their actions.
