Every family of someone killed or injured in Bush's lie remembers exactly what he or she was doing with the assault of the doorbell's ring and the life-changing words.
And the Iraqis? Is there a Larry King in Iraq, asking, "What were you doing during "Shock and Awe?"
Because, like 9/11/01, March 19, 20, and 21, 2003, are forever carved in the memories of Iraqi survivors, beginning with the limited bombing to kill Saddam Hussein, followed by "Shock and Awe" when hundreds of cruise missiles were launched to incapacitate and psychologically destroy the military will of Iraq and collaterally kill and maim civilians, none of whom had anything to do with our tragedy on 9/11.
March 2003 onward. For all Iraqis, this "will forever be entwined with sadness." And for a growing number of Americans, it will as well.
