Of course terrorism is for real, and of course it is possible that the extraordinarily rare American might turn against the USA and do crazy things.
But the fact is that laws already exist to protect our nation from violence. For any one law to target any one social cross-sector is discrimination and unconstitutional. There also is no need for a special “court” comprised of government officials, to unconstitutionally side-step the power of the Judiciary which we already have to be a deliberately neutral entity whose function it is to put a “Check” on government power.
Barack O’Bama is on the Committee which is pushing this bill. Let’s please appeal to him for his help in toppling the unconstitutional S.1959. THE MORE PEOPLE HE HEARS FROM, THE MORE POWER HE WILL HAVE IN WAVING SIGNATURES IN FRONT OF CONGRESS TO ENLIST THE NEEDED SUPPORT TO STOP AND/OR FILIBUSTER THIS BILL.
Please also call your Senators immediately.
Please spread word, asking others to weigh in with Congress. Circulate email chain letters, write your friendly editors, write to grassroots organizations, and ask them to send out petitions to topple S. 1959.
When calling your Senators, please urge them to Just Say No to S. 1959, The Homegrown Terrorism and Violent Radicalization Act. Tell them that we pay them to fulfill their oath of office to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution. Let them know that based on the statistics above, the war on terror is a faked charade. Please remind them that there are laws to protect us from violence, and a deliberately neutral Judiciary set up in our Constitution to enforce the system of checks and balances. Let them know that this proposed law undercuts that system of checks and balances. In summary, even while the Department of Homeland Security claims that the bill protects civil liberties and does not discriminate against any one social cross-sector, the facts of the matter plainly indicate otherwise and that this bill is unconstitutional. Thank you.
