Ralph Nader in a recent article said of Bolton, "Will Republicans who refused to confirm Bolton as US Ambassador to the United Nations in 2005, assume some responsibility for opposing this sociopath? They could easily pass a joint resolution of Congress demanding withdrawal of the appointment by Trump".
Great idea but with the Repubs controlling Congress it's hard to see them short circuiting Trumps selection of Bolton. Plus the national security adviser, unlike cabinet secretaries, is not required for Senate approval.
So the unfortunate likelihood a week from now will have Bolton as Trump's National Security Adviser.
With Bolton soon to be in Trumps ear; it's hard to imagine anything more ominous.
