kerngoldenempire.com reported recently:
"The U.S. military has conducted airstrikes against targets it believes are crucial to ISIS' chemical weapons program based on information provided by a senior ISIS operative involved in chemical weapons, several U.S. officials told CNN.
The U.S. captured the operative in Iraq three weeks ago, the first since a team of Special Operations forces recently began operating in northern Iraq.
Officials told CNN that his name is Sleiman Daoud Al-Bakkar. One official called him "the key leader," but others could not say if he runs the entire chemical weapons program for ISIS.
The information he provided to interrogators has given the U.S. enough information to begin striking ISIS areas in Iraq associated with the group's chemical weapons program. One U.S. official said the goal is to locate, target and carry out strikes that will result in the destruction of ISIS's entire chemical weapons enterprise -"
Who is telling the truth? Will images emerge shortly to refute the claims of either the government or "the opposition?" While Syrian military sources are widely dismissed in the media, will the denials of an anti-Assad "activist" living in Europe be accepted as credible? The entire incident points up the failure of the media to do its job, to demand evidence, to question the claims of both the government and those supplying it "information."
Assad clearly wants to prove that ISIS HAS CW (which the UN and British intelligence and Pentagon have confirmed), and if he can produce undoctored photos of chemically tainted smoke rising from the ammo depot the Syrian military bombed, will the MSM even publish it? These are the questions that conflicting claims, often conflicting lies, present. And surely Trump was informed of the claims made by the captured ISIS leader, who confirms ISIS possession of CW, as well as the UN claims 3 years ago, backed up by US military leaders????

I find it absurd that that politicians from Trump to Sanders, and the entire Western media, are, with a certainty verging on dogmatism taking the word of the terrorists themselves, variously described as "activists" or "rebels" and often represented by the White Helmets, who were caught using mannequins as visual evidence of chemical attacks by Assad, as a truth so absolute it justifies unleashing the dogs of war. How can anyone believe terrorists, and how can anyone believe the conflicting lies they promote? And how can one kill without certainty that they are killing the murderers and not the victims? One of the chief sources for the media is the Syrian Observatory in London, run by one man who owns a clothing store and publishes "reports: relayed to him by "activists" who work in and with the "rebels." This is for dozens of major media the source of certainty.
The White Helmets, produce thousands of images and videos, and been caught publishing fake photos. A group of Swedish doctors have accused them of killing children by injecting opioids into the heart to stimulate the symptoms of a chemical attack. When caught for using mannequins, they were forced to apologize. Why would anyone believe the terrorists or their propaganda machine? Because only the absurd provides certainty.
Why would anyone believe anyone whose story keeps changing?
Here is what the "activists" have claimed, which is then believed and used by the media and rationalizing Trump's act of war against Syria without performing the journalistic duty of questioning the official narrative and investigating the facts.
If wars had to wait for the facts, there would be no wars.
That is why Johnson escalated in Vietnam after the fake story of an attack on a US warship, why Bush II could not wait another month for the UN inspection team to conclude its onground investigation which had found zero evidence of a WMD program, why Trump did not wait for either Congress or intelligence to brief him on the veracity of the claims by pro-rebel "activists."
1. "(CNN)Survivors of a deadly airstrike in Syria have described chemical bombs being dropped from planes, in accounts that directly contradicted the Assad regime's version of a dawn attack that drew condemnation around the world." CNN does not say it interviewed these survivors, or how people fleeing in horror from bombs that look exactly like conventional bombs falling at 600 mph were able to positively identify them. Nor do they mention the source of this claim. This is not journalism: this is being a stenographer for the propaganda arm of al-Nustra.
The Western media has used these eyewitness reports, as relayed by the White Helmets, as evidence, and Trump claims he was persuaded to attack Syria when he looked at the pictures of dead children, furnished by the White Helmets, known for promulgating fake photos. "
