You could have Corbyn and Diane Abbott whipping a chariot, emblazoned with a go-faster sickle and hammer, hauled by the royal family, and they would be voted in. If they could promise - conclusively that no immigrant would ever again come across the borders of our fragile isles.
The lining to the gray-cloud. The demographic split. 18-24s voting 71% remain. 25-49 voting 54% remain. 84% of 18-24s voting for anyone except Boris. The future is bright. We just need to ride out the next couple seasons of Antiques Roadshow, before an enlightened new generation spearheads a fiercely democratic fighting force a' la Star Wars. A force that binds all living beings together.
There will be martyrs along the way. Martyrs to increasing poverty. Martyrs to a dying NHS. Martyrs to pollution and climate change and all types of unregulated climate fuckeries. Martyrs to a more divided and fearful nation. The MaBGA crowd conveniently whoosh past the sick man of Europe in the early 70s, where Britain's pain was partially relieved by access to the EEC, and head straight for the glories of Empire except that Britain has no Empire now no airbags to soften the body blow. Never in history have so many voted against their own self interest. Ok at least in the last month or so.
This is the time where the voices of the future needs to be heard louder than ever. And the sneering man-babies in White Houses around the world need to be ridiculed and challenged by the Greta Thunbergs and Ash Sarkars of the world.
So there you go. No need for a thousand autopsies. It was simply l'e'tranger wot won it for Brexit. And in any potential future pogroms, which may echo shameful pages from our history books, we must simply never forget the Great Game in play.
