So overturning Citizens United, initiating legislation authorizing public financing of all elections and making big money illegal in the electoral process is the one reform that could possibly save the country from the corruption that has become endemic within it.
Simply put, if we can't get legislators elected that will act in the interests of the people-rather than the big money interests that currently underwrites almost all politicos campaigns making them beholden to those interests-there can be no real reform in this country.
Is it extreme to put it this way? Maybe.
But when the country has been on the path to hell, what other hope is there?
