If the Democrats want to block Kavanaugh and win big in November, they would be wise to take the gift Kavanaugh gave them and stop fueling the "threat to young men" meme that the right is selling. That's right. Kavanaugh's response to Blasey Ford was all they need to shame the handful of Republican senators-- Flake, Collins and Murkowski-- and the Democratic senators in Republican leaning states-- Manchin and Heitkamp-- to oppose the approval of Kavanaugh.
After Kavanaugh is disqualified as a SCOTUS justice, it will be the time to pursue all the charges against him that have been levied.
update: The way Donald Trump and his senior advisor Kellyanne Conway are attacking Blasey Ford, it looks like the FBI report has been effectively restricted by Trump so that no meaningful results are going to be uncovered. That makes the sexual charges even less likely to play a role in the congressional approval of Kavanaugh and the emphasis on his temperament and unfitness even more essential.
