Will citizens be thrown in jail because they don't want to answer the new James Bonds' queries? I don't think so! What the authorities are attempting to do is to inculcate an ethos where any ordinary decent citizen of Venezuela will cooperate fully with any investigation that will shed light on nefarious criminals, saboteurs, terrorists and the like. Lessons learned in any field of intelligence operations will already have shown them that subtlety wins more rewards.
And have no fear, Venezuela is NOT about to set up any new Guantana ... there is definitely no gain in trying to emulate the baser approaches to intelligence and counterintelligence of which the United States of America has unfortunately, in its own inimitable way, become the master of how not to do!
