One of the points to this book is that like airplanes, we all leave behind a vapor trail. And though we can easily see others' trails, we rarely see our own. Thus we point our finger towards someone in blame and fail to notice that there are three fingers pointed back at our chest. As it is stated in the Bible, "Judge not lest ye be judged."
Fictional stories like this can reach into deeper aspects of our psyches regarding global warming and the criminality of the oil industries. This is one story that will indeed reach very deeply into the reader's soul. Through the cultivation of empathy, a "feeling with", fiction can deal with the depths of the heart that non-fiction dares not or knows not how to explore.

Together, they are well qualified to take us into the heart of darkness in both its demon and its goddess personas. Perhaps their most important revelation is that artistry and business acumen are not an either-or duality, but rather a both-and deeply human quality.
