An editorial in the Daily Times of Lahore said: "Instead of going around in circles, the US should come clean on Davis's real identity and his position at the US consulate. The US must realize that Pakistan is its frontline ally in the war against terror."
Interestingly, mother of Ubaidur Rehman, who was killed by the car that came to rescue Davis, suggested in a TV interview Monday that David may be exchanged for Pakistani neuroscientist, Dr. Afia Siddiqui, who is serving 86 year jail sentence in US for allegedly attempting to murder American nationals in Afghanistan.
