6. Pathological liar -
Just can't help it - it's in his nature. Is rated by PolitiFact as the politician who lies the most. Said he didn't know who David Duke was, even though there was proof to the contrary. Falsely claimed thousands of Muslims were cheering while watching the towers collapse on 9/11. Claimed the father of Ted Cruz was involved in JFK's assassination. Claims Hillary will tax small businesses 50%. Claimed he saw people taking money off the plane to pay ransom to Iran for releasing hostages. Claims religious faith and devotion without demonstrating any knowledge or participation. Constantly uses unsubstantiated phrases, such as "many people tell me", or, "many people are saying".
7. Bullying -
Shows a lack of respect for anyone outside his sphere of influence. Uses insults, name calling, disparaging comments, threats and lies to intimidate. Berates protesters. Takes joy in making fun of political opponents. Has even displayed a willingness to ridicule the disabled. How can we expect kids to refrain from bullying when they see it being embraced by a presidential candidate?
8. Ignorance of the Constitution -
Claims he would do things as President for which there is no constitutional basis. Expresses attitudes normally associated with dictators. Indicates he will violate international treaties by making Mexico pay for the wall he wants to build. He will "open up the libel laws" to allow public officials to sue the media, and use the Federal Communications Commission to fine critics. Believes he can control the military. As for the courts, the National Review states, "For Trump, courts are merely a venue to silence critics, seize property, and evade creditors through bankruptcy protections".
9. Ignorance of how government works -
Doesn't seem to understand that being President isn't the same as being CEO of a company. Shows a disdain for Congress and the branches of government. Balance? Who needs it. Thinks government business consists of deals that can be "negotiated". Compromise is for the weak and feeble-minded.
10. Ignorance of foreign affairs -
Didn't know what the Nuclear Triad referred to. Said China was part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Declared that Russia would not go into Ukraine even though it already had done so. Public statements convey the belief that NATO is bad, dictators are good. Raised alarms over questions about the use of nuclear weapons.
11. Lack of substance in policy positions -
Speaks in generalities - makes broad statements or says he'll figure out the particulars later - "That's a problem that we're going to take a look at". Regurgitates past policies as if they were new.
