Here's one last "Paul" quote, one which may be worthy of some consideration by the senator from Kentucky and his GOP colleagues. It's from 1 Corinthians 1:13, and is attributed to St. Paul (Paul of Tarsus):
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal."
With all of these namesakes to draw from, it's unfortunate that Rand Paul chose the brutal and cynical thinking of Ayn Rand for moral guidance instead. But then, that's the problem with today's Republican Party: There's too much Rand and not enough Paul.
