More recently, reports Bill Still:

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest -- one of the few in Congress that had read the top-secret deal -- blasted it

See Still's video on this here:

With Obama term-limited, and the election season just getting into high gear - for Senators and Congresspersons as well as presidential candidates, candidates will have little stomach to support an agreement which polls says the public oppose (TPA) by more than 2:1. The cagey way the public was not allowed to see the text of the TPP until now, means that polling institutions have shied away from polling on whether the public supports or opposes something it hasn't actually had the chance to read - though whether the average person can make anything meaningful out of a legalistic 5,500 page document is highly questionable anyway (see above). There are plenty of polls showing opposition to last summer's fast-track authority, however.

What we do know at this point is that NAFTA has been a disaster for America workers, resulting in higher income inequality and a million jobs lost. And if the TPP is indeed "NAFTA on steroids," Ross Perot won't be the only one to observe that "giant sucking sound" coming from this agreement as well.

It is time to contact your Senators and Congressperson to oppose this Terrible Policy for the People!
