The Loyalty Oath

Apartheid makes its appearance in their mouths,
in the empty spaces where teeth used to be;
the excess layers of adipose tissue packed on
by profitable junk nutrition leading to obesity;

the unconscionable lack of education
and the monetary barriers to healthcare;
the post-foreclosure lives they lead
in tent cities, parking lots and homeless shelters.

And "Third" World people are being driven to America today
by financial violence by "free" trade agreements
that bankrupt nations via US transnational corporations
which flood countries with goods priced low artificially,

deliberately immiserating these people
via American taxpayer subsidies,
which allow US companies kill local competition
and hollow out the host country's economy,

forcing their people to run to the US for work,
thereby lowering wages all across the board
not only for "illegals" and those on H-51 visas
but those "honorary white people"
the plutocracy claims it can no longer afford.

(Think auto workers.)

They've got the people who feed and support them,
on their economic knees in debt slavery,
all clamoring to take a loyalty oath
to the plutocracy that deliberately enslaves them.

This loyalty oath takes the form of givebacks
of workers' hard-won economic rights,
since workers' existence is negotiable,
but not the American elite's way of life
This "loyalty" oath is a proclamation of submission,
desperation and agreement to apartheid.

In Israel it's not enough for Arab citizens
to be set apart by their race and their religion,
they must also submit to and lick the feet
of the Khazars-cum-Jews who openly hate them,

and accept their "inferiority" for the privilege
of living on land bequeathed them by their ancestors,
stolen through murder, transfer and legalized apartheid
plus pledge allegiance to have a right to their existence.

To swear that you accept your inferiority,
and would, in fact, fight anyone who disagreed,
is to lie like an obedient dog at your master's feet,
and gratefully lick his hand for being his property.

Somehow the few, whether they base their "betterness"
than the rest of us on religion, skin color and/or money,
manage to convince the many of us to accept the blame
for not being born a winner in the economic lottery

that determines who gets what and how much of it.
And we're conditioned to believe we create our own plight
since it's obvious we have no money, we practice the wrong religion
and didn't have the foresight to be born white.

That the deck is stacked like Mt. Everest against us
is never allowed to get in the way of the fact
that unless you're born with a silver spoon in your mouth
you're destiny is the bottom rung of society's ladder.
