Stop the 'Vilification'? We've Only Just Begun.

And the people in hell want ice water. 

Make no mistake: we will not create operational roadblocks to recovery, and we will not allow politicians to create them.  We all want to find ways to put the present economic mess behind us as quickly as possible.   

But if you think we will let bygones be bygones – just forget the past and focus on the future – you’ve got another think coming.  The people who have lost their homes, cars, jobs, retirements, educational opportunities, savings, and futures do not care one whit if American executives lose a few pounds of flesh along the way to finding out what went wrong and holding accountable the people who brought down the house.   

Far from being over, Jamie, this process has only just begun.  And if the process makes you and your cronies feel vilified; if the mere thought of heightened public scrutiny makes you squirm … that can only be good.
