And they complain about government benefits for the poor? The destruction of the human psyche through education and media is one with the destruction of the planet.

The wasteland of our ecosystems is a mirror to the conditioned wastelands of our minds that have been washed clean by corporate driven school systems. Our children's minds are as corrupted as the minds of their leaders. Standardized education is nothing less than a cage in which kids are reinforced and punished in order to maintain the rule of the elite.

Our children are nothing more than pigeons being trained for the sake of the behaviorist's / corporate pocketbook. Yep, get them working more for less!

But, I also read books like George Orwell's Animal Farm. That book was more beneficial to my education than any psychology class. I could understand the rebellion of the animals in that story and grieve for them their re-entrapment in conditioned roles. I kept hoping I would hear a story of the pigeons in Skinner's cage pecking the eyes out of the psychologist. I would identify with their cooing, were they to fly free.

So, what if the term education returned to its original meaning, to bring forth. Education does not mean to hypnotize kids into a submissive role found in games like follow the "Leader." It is about bringing forth the talents and passions within a person.

Such is the work of Todd Glacy. He is a true educator and thus fosters the bringing forth of potential within a human being. His work helps us to evolve. His work furthermore speaks to the quest of the Greek philosopher, Socrates, whose primary message was to "know thyself."

If truth is known, knowing thyself is one with knowing all (Burl's reflection, not Todd's, regarding Socrates. Perhaps he would agree?). Perhaps the music of the stars is in sympathy (symphony) with the music of our souls. Perhaps the "Big Bang" was a magnificent huge gong striking the note that vibrated its way into becoming the Universe.

Some of Todd's work has focused on Yoga for Classrooms Instructor, Spiritual/Life Coach, Yoga Nidra Facilitator Event/Workshop Facilitator, Laughter Yoga Facilitator, and Sacred Sound Gong Journeywork creator.

Most of this work is probably within the reader's experience, either peripherally or deeply. Some of this work may be foreign. Yoga Nidra, for example, is a meditative practice that gets a person to go into a deep sleep pattern while remaining fully awake. (For an introduction to this powerful meditation, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga_nidra). Its purpose is to get a person close to the state of deep sleep while being awake, or as the Christian Meister Eckhart put it, "in the same state as when you were not." Mirroring Eckhart, the Hindu Rig Veda states: "The bond of existence is in non-existence."

This bond of existence and non-existence is the foundation for our lives in this moment. In fact to be empty of conditioning is the path to ultimate wholeness. It is also tapping into a place of change that gives the proverbial finger to the "MAN."

"Ok, dummies, let's put ants in they're pants and watch them struggle?" True. Of course, if you gave them the right kind of drug, they probably wouldn't care, now would they. Take away the nerve system and painful itches subside. Without the messages of the nerve system going to the brain, pain does not exist. Nor does the pleasure of making love, playing with a child and reading an article.

If you don't believe me regarding the subjectivity of your view of the universe, smoke some pot and see how the world changes.

What is illusion and what is truth? Is the smoked up world of the pot smoker any less or more legitimate than the world of a guru, a dogmatic atheistic scientist, a religious zealot or an abused and underpaid janitor? My "thumbs up" goes to the pot smoker.

In his sacred sound gong work, Todd allows for creative change and awakening through the sacred vibrations of the gong. There is indeed a lot of evidence for this approach as reflected in the sacred sound movement in spirituality.
