Republicans Have Betrayed, Deceived America; Now It's Payback Time

If the people of America, the majority of whom know that this nation is in a deep, almost irreversible, crisis cannot and will not respond and begin the process of transforming this Congress, then all is lost and we can bring the curtain down on America's future. But I am not yet ready to accept such a catastrophe. Recently I commented that Mr. Obama was now facing his last chance to show the people that he is capable of leading this country. It's time that the American people fully realize that this also may be their last chance to save their country from disaster and here, in my opinion, is how it must be done.

In the elections of 2012 the American people must do their diligent homework, study the issues and the candidates and then do two things: go to the polls in a massive turnout and vote to throw every Republican out of Congress; send them home so that they can no longer obstruct and disrupt the legislative process. And before these national elections begin, in the Democratic primaries, the people must identify each and every Democratic that has betrayed his or her party and this nation, and vote them out of office, thereby paying them back for their collusion with the GOP and Corporate America.

It's not just the Republicans in Congress who must be thrown out of office; those GOP governors in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Florida and other states who are destroying the bargaining rights of unions and laying off thousands of teachers, police and firefighters must also go. Some of them are subject to state recall procedures before long and others must be defeated at the polls.

This president needs to take his message about his jobs creation program to every quarter of America, as he said he would in his recent speech, and explain it in clear and explicit terms, naming the Republicans as the major impediment. He needs to relentlessly hammer this message home and expose the Republicans for using every obstructionist tactic to kill this jobs creation movement. If he continues to do this fearlessly and forcefully the people will respond, and then most of the GOP/Tea Party radicals will be living out their final days in this Congress.

The political system in America has now become so corrupted and so dominated by radical ideologies that is now totally out of control. Corporate America, in the last few decades, has forced its way into the middle of the process and has used it limitless funds in the attempt to control our elections. It is now time for the American people, those who possess the real power, to offset the mega-millions brought into these elections by using a mega-turnout of voters. The goal must be to mobilize and energize the majority of Democrat, progressive and independent voters to turn out in record-shattering numbers to soundly defeat and take down every Republican and Tea Party member, along with that group of rogue Democrats, who have betrayed their party and their country.

So, here's a message to those who will, without a doubt, say that this is an impossible task, that it can't work, that Americans can neither be energized nor motivated. That's exactly the kind of negative attitude that has taken this nation down to one of the lowest points in its history. When you give up trying, when you give up fighting for what is right, then you are giving up on the country and yourself.

In the past I have been very critical of President Obama's performance but, so far in his initial speeches on this issue around the country, I see definite evidence that he understands the gravity of the situation and is finally beginning to respond with a strong effort and message. He must not only keep up the pressure, he must ramp it up. And, if the people respond in kind, America will have a great opportunity to get rid of the most poisonous politicians in Congress, the heartless, soulless Republicans.

The American people must adopt a new, positive attitude if they are to stop the dangerous political machine that wants to control this nation and its national agenda. If this movement to unleash the massive power of the American people can be successfully initiated, and it most certainly can, then there is nothing that can withstand the power it will generate; and the betrayers of America will go down in a crushing defeat.
