RABBI SACKS' 2019 BOOK ABOUT DEUTERONOMY
Now, the prolific English Rabbi Jonathan Sacks (born in 1948) discusses weekly readings from each of the Five Books of Moses in his accessible books in the Covenant & Conversation book series:
(1) Genesis: The Book of Beginnings (2009);
(2) Exodus: The Book of Redemption (2010);
(3) Leviticus: The Book of Holiness (2015);
(4) Numbers: The Wilderness Years (2017);
(5) Deuteronomy: Renewal of the Sinai Covenant (2019).
(There are at least three other thematically organized volumes of Rabbi Sacks' short essays in his Covenant & Conversation book series.)
Now, each of Rabbi Sacks' five books enumerated above is extremely well organized, featuring not only the expected table of contents but also thematic clusters of Rabbi Sacks' admirably lucid short essays, each of which cluster includes an overview of the short essays in it.
For example, Deuteronomy: Renewal of the Sinai Covenant (2019) features eleven clusters of short essays, following the introductory essay "Deuteronomy: Covenant Society" (pages 1-16). The helpful eleven overviews appear on the following pages:
(1) page 17 (followed by 5 essays);
(2) page 49 (followed by 5 essays);
(3) page 85 Followed by 5 essays);
(4) page 117 (followed by 5 essays);
