The sky tells a story. All ancient peoples knew this--some still do. And a birth chart is the story the sky was telling when you are born. So, let's all step into the realm of possibilities, the in-between world where we can 'entertain all possibilities, believe none' (Caroline Casey) and open our ears to hear the story the heavens is telling us.
First let's look at the world around us and what's going on. At first glance, I'd say the world is in a state of rapid transition, with many of its old systems falling apart while many new ideas and systems are trying to take hold. Whether it's the economy, government, religion, education, commerce, both personal and collective security, things are breaking down. They have been since, at least 2008 when the U.S. economy crashed. And since then, we've seen the true state of our social structures--where the power and money are and how their interests control most of the world while the heart-felt needs of the people--and those in most other countries--are ignored and even vivified.
The sky story--or Cosmic Story--in the past 8 years has been interesting, because it involves a cycle (yes, comparing two or more planets creates a cycle) that started in the 60s. The planet of Revolution (Uranus) and Evolution (Pluto) came together and started a new cycle between these two outer planets for the first time in 127.3 years. Think of this part of the cycle as a New Moon.
These energies tend to violently and suddenly bring up issues that need to be addressed in our society. And for those of us who were there, it did bring them up, in wild and wacky ways. After everything died down, what we integrated into our society was the spiritual, physical and psychological knowledge we discovered.
These energies also engender a desire for a more creative life. Most of us preferred spiritual awakening over worldly power. So right-wing Christians and Reagan-esque trickle down economics took over the government. They gave away ultimate power to the wealthy and to corporations, seeing this as the be-all and end-all of life.
But now we're realizing that the government can be a tool for creating a better life for all of us. This is a radical idea if you look at the history of the world. Yes, I know. That's America's myth--creating an ideal, a world of freedom and hope. But in so many ways, it's not a reality. Or it needs a new upgrade on that reality, because Big Business took over instead of 'we the people'.
Now is the time for 'we the people' to take back our government. At least that's the Cosmic Story now. Those two planets of Evolution (Pluto) and Revolution (Uranus) are back! (! means shout with much joy!)! They have been since Pluto went in to Capricorn in late 2008 and Uranus went into Aries in 2012. Now these two planets were 90* away from each other, like the first quarter Moon that stands right overhead at sundown. They are challenging each other to shift, to make changes so that these ideals become reality. It's the time in the growing life of a plant when it sends down deep roots and throws out branches and leaves. When it gets solidly established.
That's our task now. To solidly
establish the ideals of the 60s, which are really the true ideals of
the American Revolution. We have to stop complaining about Taxes and
start demanding Freedom, which entails taking up our responsibilities
as citizens. We have to realize that we are a community, that the
Common Good is part of our genetic makeup as well as the advancement
of the individual. We've seen how out of balance that idea has gone.
The government our Founders imagined is still in it's birth
struggles. We will come into our real power as a country when
America experiences its first Pluto return in 2020-23. We have to re-birth our values and our cultural structures.
The Cosmic Story says that the chaos and breakdown we're experiencing as a culture (the 1 st World) is part of the natural process as we come to the end of our cycle of power. If we end the cycle by composting what is dead and allowing the past to nurture but not rule the future, we can begin our new cycle on a high note.
And the way to do that is for each of us to bring our gifts and talents to the collective table. Uranus, the planet of Revolution and Awakening, of being a unique individual, is in Aries, the sign where we ask 'Who Am I?'. It is the sign of our search for identity, of our life energy. Where does your energy want to take you?
Uranus is waking up that 'I am' in each of us. It is for each us us to stand up and make sure that we establish this new American Revolution to fit our present needs and sensibilities. Which means establishing true freedom, justice and equality throughout the land by being free, just and equal. The Cosmic Story says that each of us is unique and we each have a part to play in these transitional times.
So what parts have our Democratic candidates chosen to play?
Let's start with Hillary.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is definitely a Father's Daughter. Everything she's said about herself indicates that she is 'for the masculine principle in all things.' Before you get upset, wanting equal pay and opportunity can be included under masculine values, as long as women act like men, at work, in the Armed Forces, in Law, Education and Religion.
Being a 'Father's Daughter is the way the ancient Greek Goddess Pallas Athena was described. We still honor Athena or the Roman Minerva as a Goddess of Wisdom--we have statues all over our Capitals honoring her. She was a wise lady, giving good advice and strategy to the heroes she mentored. She came to represent the wisdom within men, the knowledge of how to get what you want, to accomplish your goals, to protect and defend your own.
