Those are not great credentials for leaders of our nation during a really tough time in history.
Palin came across in the only two interviews she’s given in the month of September as a good-looking gal with a vacuous mind.
Arguably, the three biggest problems facing America today are the economy, the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and healthcare.
McCain has no ideas about solving the healthcare crisis except offering tax incentives that will help families pay less than half the cost of insurance premiums.
He has so little knowledge of economics that he doesn’t even know an economic meltdown when it’s staring him in the face.
On the Middle East and Asian conflicts he only knows enough to be dangerous. And that tidbit of knowledge is coupled with a reckless, Bush-like, bomb-first, ask-questions-later attitude.
However, lack of knowledge on serious issues is not McCain’s biggest obstacle to being elected. It is his highly-touted judgment––the selection of Palin as a sidekick––that could ruin his chances.
Republican insiders are hinting that Palin should be replaced. McCain himself might even give it serious consideration, after all he’s a maverick.
Here is what has him in a pickle: if he keeps Palin on the ticket he stands to lose the election in a landslide. However, if he dumps the babe, he will lose the election by a huge landslide of epic proportions.
That’s one tough choice.
