We blame crime on drugs ignoring the fact it is America's growing demand for drugs that is fueling it all. In short, the violence related to drugs is completely self inflicted. We created the monster we can no longer fight.
We create false statistics and point to them with claims that guns cause a drop in crime and completely over look the fact that crime rates rise and fall like the tides "" that is a sociological fact.
Let's end the debate and give the NRA and what a minority of America really wants. If in a decade we are safer, then we made the right decision. If we are not safer, then it is too late forever and there will be no turning back.
However, in my experience, I find that America's gun culture is terrified of the experiment and that speaks volumes about America's truer arm chair pseudo bravado.
