Eurus Energy America, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Eurus Energy Holdings Corp, $91 million dollars

enXco, a French-owned firm, $69.5 million.

A-Power Energy Generation Systems, a Chinese-owned company that lists as its mailing address a vacant office in San Diego, is in the running for $450 million in stimulus grants. The contract would create a couple dozen jobs in the United States but hundreds in China.

Meanwhile, at Rutgers University they bought 7,600 solar panels from Yingli Green Energy Holding company, because it was cheaper. The State of New Jersey subsidized half of the ten million dollar project. At the same time, unemployment in New Jersey is near ten percent. What do you suppose the problem could be? Maybe an institution of higher learning such as Rutgers could study the problem of why unemployment is so high and why graduates can't find jobs?

"Right now, we're standing near the largest solar electric plant of its kind in the entire Western Hemisphere," President Obama said following a tour of Nellis Air Force Base's 14-megawatt solar photovoltaic array. "More than 72,000 solar panels built on part of an old landfill provide 25 percent of the electricity for the 12,000 people who live and work here at Nellis. That's the equivalent of powering about 13,200 homes during the day. It's a project that will save the U.S. Air Force, which is the largest consumer of energy in the federal government, nearly $1 million a year."

The solar cells came from a Chinese-owned company, and until we can throw down the gold calf of free trade, we cannot make any progress. The three most prosperous economies on the planet are Germany, Japan, and China, and they all got that way through manufacturing. The idol worshippers tell us to have faith and we shall reach Jerusalem, but the truth is we are headed for Jonestown.

I who am I? Born at the pinnacle of American prosperity to parents raised during the last great depression. I was the youngest child of the youngest children born almost between the generations and that in fact clouds and obscures who it is that (more...)
