In 1973, the Navy made the decision to suppress the information Dr. Glaser had brought to light (I've heard that was a publicly available document, and will continue to try to locate it). One can surmise a number of reasons for that, all coming down to national security, but it was a Devil's bargain: it allowed a perfectly deniable weapon to be developed that could be used in complete secrecy with no public oversight and no guarantee that it would not fall into nefarious hands. There is evidence of mobile electromagnetic warfare emitters being tested by the US Navy with no public notification and no concern for impacts on ecosystems.
The late Robert O. Becker was among many authors and researchers in the bioelectromagnetics field to face career-terminating suppression. He said:
"We faced a concerted and coordinated effort to suppress the truth which emanated from the military establishment and was simply aided and abetted by the greed of the utilities and the tarnished testimony of scientists for hire."
He was forced into retirement at 56.
Others I can think of off-hand whose careers have been shortened for being too outspoken about the evidence include Prof. Olle Johansson**, from the prestigious Karolinska Institute, and George Carlo, former head of the industry-funded Wireless Technology Research project, who was ironically part of the machinery that tried to get Henry Lai and Narendra Singh of the University of Washington defunded for their research showing DNA breaks from cellphone radiation. Dr. Carlo eventually found the evidence of harm simply too overwhelming for him to continue the charade (The Guardian, July 2018).

**Associate Professor Olle Johansson, a world-leading authority in the field of EMR and its health effects, was forced into early retirement from the Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute Medical University, Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to that, at least one attempt was also made on his life. This occurred after he helped identify a highly conflicted IARC panel member and have him replaced-a critical step toward official recognition of radiofrequency radiation as a Class 2B possible carcinogen, which the wireless industry has struggled to conceal since. Prof. Johansson has produced many papers on the functional impairment known as "electrohypersensitivity (EHS)," coining the term "screen dermatitis." His strong advocacy of the human rights of the EHS has led to full official recognition of the condition in Sweden as a functional impairment. His research has also uncovered a correlation between FM radio radiation and melanoma. A list of his research can be seen here. He needs funding to continue his research and has established a funding page for anyone interested in helping him. Instructions can be found here.
