Jupiter, Sag's ruler, is in Taurus, asking us to value the Earth, its natural Laws and our vision of beauty and peace.   Venus, Taurus' ruler, so recently aligned with Pluto in Capricorn, sees the need to change our cultural standpoint as well as our personal one. Just how much money or resources do we need to create a good life?   Venus also rules Libra, where Saturn is making his way through the last degrees of the sign of balance and justice, demanding that we figure out what is fair and balanced for everyone.   What's more important to us? Guns or education? National security or personal freedom?   Nation building or community infrastructure? Alternative energy or oil? The Environment or resource privatization?   Jobs or corporate profits?   Fair taxes or unequal wealth distribution? All these issues are up for debate in the coming years, which will be framed by the 7 Uranus/Pluto squares coming our way beginning next year.

The Heavens Declare -- there will be Revolution and Evolution.   How it comes about is up to us.

We really do have a choice; we just have to make it. Are we stuck in a life that deadens us or have we chosen to live a life full of creativity and action?    Are we going to continue to use up and pollute our world or will we actually do something to change our lifestyles?   Are we willing to give over our freedoms to a corporate state/mindset or will we make our own choices?   What makes life worth living?

If this next year was The End, how would you live your life?   Giving up or standing up?   Standing up is more like it, because this next year is not The End of the World; it marks the end of the patriarchy.   Patriarchy brought us up to be intelligent, feeling, doing adults.   But like the old Greek gods, the patriarchs don't want to step away so the younger generation could have their day.   The Occupy Movement is changing that.   This time, the old gods will be disposed.

The Sag/Gemini Lunar nodes form the axis of our Galaxy, with the Galactic Center as the womb or root chakra, and the Pleiades as the crown chakra. Ceres, the Mother goddess, in Pisces along with Mars in Virgo are in challenging squares to the Lunar Nodes, stressing the need for compassionate action to become what is most true for each one of us.   Mars will go retrograde in Virgo in late January, so we'll have 8 months instead of the usual 6 weeks with Mars in Virgo helping us hone and focus our desire on integrating body, soul and spirit.   Once again, the Cosmic energies will help us get the evolutionary work done.

Mercury, the ruler of this Gemini lunar eclipse, has been retrograde since right before the Sagittarius solar eclipse on November 24th.   It is slowing down to turn direct a few days after this lunar eclipse on Tuesday December 13th at 4* Sag: A little child learning to walk with the encouragement of his parents. This symbol implies that help will be provided during a crucial stage of growth.   Ask for help and you'll receive it!

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 19*Gemini is: A large archaic volume reveals a traditional wisdom.   This symbol seems to indicate the archetypal processes at the root of all earthly existence.   These are the seed ideas which are constantly renewed through the cyclic processes of life-death-rebirth.   We have to get back to basics!

The Sabian symbol for the Sun at 19*Sagittarius is: Pelicans menaced by the behavior and refuse of men seek safer areas for bringing up their young.   Tradition tells us that pelicans will sacrifice themselves for their young -- giving them their own flesh and blood if necessary to sustain them.   An apt symbol for those of us who are concerned for the future.   We have to discover a new way of living so that our children for 7 generations WILL have an Earth that is wholesome and healthy.

To do that, we have to change our whole social system.   If we believe it, we can create it.   That will be our task over the coming years.
