Mike: You believe what perhaps as much as 75% of our fellow Americans believe--that a convention is the devil's playground--when it's a legal process bound by laws and with various levels of result. The important result is not what's written down when the convention adjourns, it's the process of formal discussion about change. We can have an informal discussion about amendments all day every day. A convention transforms informal discussion into formal discussion, it destroys the status quo of politics as usual--that which allows oil and energy corporations to deny the common sense solutions, i.e. molten salt reactors. To be clear, in terms of fact, reason, and logic, the Article V Convention is not a devil's playground as we've always been told. Objectively speaking it's how we take back control of our government. What I've tried to argue here is that until that's done molten salt technology will be ignored instead of fast-tracked like we all know it should be.
