David Barton is certainly a Dominionist (although he calls it Seven Mountains Theology)
Both Steve Bannon and Kellyann Conway are influential members of the Council for National Policy. The last is disturbing: the CNP, although small and secretive, is nonetheless very powerful and Trump may not realize it yet, but they are controlling his campaign. True, Conway seems almost as dimwitted as Pierson, but that could be a screen for darker intentions. We are dealing with white supremicists and dominionists here, eager to put the screws to Trump if he does not adhere to their policies.
"I think we need to take seriously Trump's words," he said, "and we need to stop hoping that he's just a huckster and a charlatan and just lying all the time." - Bill Wichterman (aide to George W. Bush).
Deplorable Trump
When it comes to being a Christian Right Deplorable, however, perhaps Trump
himself ranks high on the scoreboard. Witness the scornful attitude Trump had
when told that a nemesis if his - Mark Cuban- was to be placed in front of him
at the debates.:
This suggests the kind of childish and unchristian attitude of revenge often ascribed to God by Evangelicals. He also parallels the Deplorables of the Christian Right with unabashed hate speech.
But perhaps the greatest aspect of a true Deplorable lies in Trump's penchant for outright lies.
'Media Matters:
The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Politico all independently published on September 24 and 25 reviews of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's "blizzard of falsehoods, exaggerations and outright lies" in just the last week. Given that Trump's "mishandling of facts and propensity for exaggeration" is so "frequent," these reports of Trump's "untruths" bolster the case for debate moderators to fact-check the candidates during the presidential debates.
So.. Exactly how much of a right wing Christian Deplorables will
Trump exhibit in the debates?
If he doesn't insert their version of God into the debates, the Tony Perkinses
(Family Research Council) of the right might consider Donald Trump to be
"Deplorable".
