After the DNC’s Rules Committee decided what to do about Michigan and Floriday, that miserable Harold Ickes, ominously warned that this may not be over.
“Sen. Clinton has asked me to reserve her right to take this to the credentials committee,” Ickes said, to cheers from Clinton supporters in the hotel ballroom.
Ickes, needs a memory check, because not too long ago he was touting “It’s the delegate count! It’s the delegate count,” suddenly did a one-eight and is now yelling it’s the popular vote that counts.
Ickes, what an appropriate name for someone who’s been acting so much more like an “icky” Republican operative than a Democrat…so much so that he even looks like a Republican.
I never thought I’d say a Democrat could be as bad as a Republican, or that I couldn’t stand to look at one or flick to another station when one comes on the air with his twisted words and outright lies. But Ickes managed to it. Ickes is not only hate-able, but he’s contemptible.
Well, maybe he took his lead from Hillary who more often than not, has sounded like a Republican. Or maybe she took her lead from him. Who knows?
Hillary, it’s time for you to get the hell out of Egypt, out of the land of De Nile and back to reality…and you have until late Tuesday evening to do it.
A majority of the super delegates were respectful and remained undeclared, allowing Clinton to run out the primary process.
And an extra special message for you diehard Hillary supporters who are stupidly saying you’ll stay home or -- WORSE -- vote for John “Bush’s Third Term” McCain, I have three words for you: Supreme Court Nominees.
July 4th is almost upon us. It’s a good time to think -- and think hard -- about how this country came into being, and what America and being an American used to mean before George Bush came along with his signing statements, Patriot Act and Constitution wrecking crew.
One last word.
Bill Clinton may be the man from Hope, but Barack Obama is the Man of Hope!
If he disappoints, I’ll be the first one to say so.
