The very idea of Israel smacks of the worst cynicism the human mind could come up with. Even if it has a moral dimension, this is overshadowed by the material ambitions of the West for a global empire presided upon by a ruling class of a handful of ruthless men and women who have amassed more wealth and power today than 99% of humanity. It is pointless to talk to them about morality, compassion and laws. Even as our attention is riveted on the slow motion extermination of Palestinians by Israel, the empire is visiting instant nirvana in far larger numbers upon other peoples to supposedly protect Israel from annihilation. For the grand schemers, these are trivial prices to pay for a greater good for humanity of which only they are aware.
None of this is meant to exculpate Israel from its spree of crimes against Palestinians. But the odds are Israel is a decoy, the tip of an iceberg for us to expend our fury and frustration upon while what lies beneath the waterline is shifting the tectonic plates of the world we live on. Of course, it may all be a coincidence or yet another conspiracy theory. It could also be the mother of false flags, a charade of implausible deniability.
