As we approach the anniversary of September 11th, the criminal responsible for it is still out there namely Osama bin Laden.  Yes, I have read many articles citing that he is dead or that the government was responsible and I will not go there in this column since I have expressed my own opinions in the past.

In his speech, Barack Obama stated, “I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11, and made clear that we must take out Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants if we have them in our sights. John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell, but he won't even go to the cave where he lives.” How can McCain give we the people any hope when the criminal responsible for the era of fear has not been captured, tried and convicted?

John McCain’s president once said that he would capture this criminal “dead or alive” which turned into “I do not know where he is, he is not important and not our top priority” What?!  How exactly is that keeping America secure when this administration failed at capturing him and why should Americans even entertain in giving the Republicans namely John McCain four more years of the same inept leadership.  If you can call it that.

All of us who have been angry, tired, living without hope during these past eight years and the polls show it as Bush’s polling numbers are at an all time low must realize it will only come from us to unlock our own shackles.  Now is our time instead of four more years of the same.  Barack Obama is right when he said, “We cannot walk alone”

When Al Gore stated this, “I will fight for you, are you with me” at the 2000 Democratic convention, I did see the same message coming from Barack Obama when he said, “We cannot turn back”
