The system makes digital photos of each ballot in addition to storing
the paper ones, which are sent to the county seat in Doylestown for
final counting via larger scanners; USBs recording totals are also sent in by each
precinct. There's the Internet connection. It's always hiding somewhere
except with systems that use hand-counted paper ballots (HCPB) only. You
see, high-or low-tech, there's always Internet where the machinery is
manufactured. Alas.
