So if you approach this full Moon consciously, you get a glimpse of what kind of partner you can become. Choose well what actions you take with the people in your life. Your future depends on it. At this point we have to take responsibility (Saturn) for our actions toward the Other(Libra).

Fiery Aries opens you to the life experience of finding your identity, figuring out what you want to do, and how to go out into the world and get it. If you don't think about yourself, you get stuck in a role and identity you don't want. So Aries' soul assignment is to discover your identity.

Psychologically, Aries characteristics include initiative, obstinacy, restlessness, lack of empathy, shifting goals and the need for self-determination. When the Moon is in Aries, these characteristic are more unconscious and therefore spontaneous. It is up to each of us to ground this fiery energy in ways that build our unique identity without have to dominate anyone else. Turn that Aries conquering energy upon yourself and learn to discriminate between when you have to take a stand and when you have to compromise! See where your natal Mars is to understand how you might deal with these new relationship energies.

Libra expresses the life experience of getting along in a fair and balanced way with others. As an air sign, Libra responds in a mental, spiritual way to life by pondering and weighing and considering the effect of her decisions upon an Other. In Libra experiences, it is important to find the right balance between two people so you create harmony rather than discord. That takes diplomacy, not giving over your power.

Psychologically, Libra's characteristics are a real need for harmony and some sort of structured balance between inner and outer worlds; a love of beauty and art; a need to say "yes' to most situations; an inability to make decisions based on your own desires; a wonderful ability to match up people, ideas and visions. When Libra goes wrong, there is avoidance, ambivalence, over-adaptation and a fear of feelings which might overbalance your equilibrium. With the Sun in Libra, it's time to look at this part of yourself and see where you are in the balance.

With Saturn now traveling through Libra for the next two years, we will be learning this lesson about harmony and balance through lessons of limitation and frustration. With this 2nd Aries full Moon, we get a chance to understand how we can keep our unique Aries identity without having to dominate the Other. Self-acceptance leads to accepting another person, another idea, another feeling. It's a necessary lesson for both Aries and Libra.

The Sabian symbol for the Sun at 30*Libra is: Three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher's head. This symbol speaks to a growing wisdom and development (the number 3 stands for process) in our understanding of life. We stand at a crossroads in history, and we need a deeper holistic understanding of who we are and what our community (Libra) needs to survive. As the last symbol of Libra, I think (Libra is a rational sign) the mounds symbolize the three parts of the brain left, right and corpus callosum which when working together, make us wise. At the 1st Aries full Moon the Libra Sun's image was the perfect butterfly, the archetypal image of the soul. Here at the end of the sign, the archetypal knowledge has become embodied within us and we can use the wisdom of the soul in our encounters.

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 30* Aries is: A duck pond and its brood. Another watery symbol for the fiery sign of Aries! The 1st degree full Moon last month imaged a woman arising out of the ocean with a seal. Now at the end of the sign, we see a duck pond with little ducklings swimming peacefully. Some new potentials of spiritual understanding (ducklings) are being nurtured in that small pond. That's the best way when it comes to something new and tender don't expose it to the wider world yet until it's grown more substantial. Ducks can travel in three realms: the earth, the waters and the air, so they are symbols of integration of body, mind and spirit. And in China they represent married happiness! So, little ducklings, keep paddling around your pond and grow strong!

When we look to the planetary rulers of these two signs, Mars for Aries and Venus for Libra, we can see how Libra's new balance might be achieved. Venus in Libra is concerned with beauty and elegance, articulate communication, peaceful and diplomatic engagement, and a striving for completion. She is the Connector. Mars has opposite characteristics. He can be aggressive, violent, restless and full of desire. He can also help with self-assertion, follow through, initiative and the ability to grapple with issues until they are resolved.

Venus and Mars have a long history of being lovers. It seems a strong woman who belongs to herself (Venus) can make love and take the war out of a man (Mars). Venus and Mars have children Fear and Terror as well as Eros (desire) and Harmonia (harmony). We have to get our Venus to help take the war out of Mars and make him our defender and protector rather than an aggressor.

At this full Moon, both Venus and Mars are in Scorpio. That gives Mars an advantage, since he is comfortable in that intense sign, whereas Venus is not very happy in Scorpio. Probably she is rethinking things as she retrogrades back through Scorpio into Libra. (Venus turns direct on November 19th) Venus retrograde will conjunct the Sun on October 28th, releasing old wounds and hurt feelings and restoring her beauty and strength to re-emerge as the Morning Star on November 4th.

Venus in Scorpio, especially when it's retrograde, seeks self-knowledge regarding her emotional and psychological life. She wants to understand herself and her mate, and why they do the things they do. What she'll probably learn is that her needs are reflections of her own wounds, and if she can heal those wounds within herself, she doesn't need her mate to fulfill her. She learns self-empowerment and an inner security which lets her express her powerful emotions without fear of rejection or reprisals. Full self-expression is a gift of Love.

The Sabian symbol for Venus retrograde at 10*Scorpio is: A fellowship supper reunites old comrades. When we share bread, we share life. Perhaps Venus helps us to remember that we're all in this mess together and that we can come through it if we stick together rather than pull apart. All of us came into this lifetime with past life experiences of domination, inequality, pain and disillusionment in love. We need to release these old memories and get on with a new vision of love and harmony.

Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio, and since he also rules the Aries Moon, how we deal with our Mars, our desire nature, will definitely control the outcome of any interchange. Mars in Scorpio is focused inward on its desires and his fear of intimacy and betrayal. The lesson here involves the proper use of sexual energy a transformation that does away with the use of power and domination to control the situation to a deep union with the Divine and the Other.

The Sabian symbol for Mars at 26*Scorpio is: Native Americans making camp after moving into new territory. This symbolizes an innate ability to adjust swiftly to new situations by tuning into its natural requirements. Mars can intuitively take in the entire situation and work with it rather than fight it. This bodes well for the proper use of our Mars energy.,
