I said it was a dream, didn't I? Maybe just a dream but does
anyone seriously feel that these recommendations would not make America a far
stronger, more secure, and stable nation? And that's the problem. We have to
start shooting high for the seemingly impossible goals, not settling for the
easy, politically popular results that get nothing of substance done.
Obviously, the chances of this scenario actually becoming
a reality are slim to none unless this president and the Congress fully
understand that America
is approaching a point of no return. There is still a chance to take this
nation in a new, positive direction if America's
leaders stop investing taxpayer dollars on senseless wars and reinvest these
funds in building America's
future.
Yes, this is only a dream, a dream that America can somehow
regain its identity and purpose by reactivating its dormant creativity and
determination to end the nightmare that currently permeates our nation and our
society.
As we know, sometimes dreams can come true.
