"In the interests of justice and of saving lives, we are serving this brief on both attorneys and requesting that the court grant W adequate support to allow her to survive the fall and winter."

The L60 Judge quickly denied the brief ant its emergency request for support and postponed the trial until spring. The case file contains considerable evidence about the extreme disparity between the rich living conditions of the husband and the inhuman conditions of the wife. The group said the judge knew the primary torture survivor was at risk of dying and did not care.   His refusal to consider emergency support means the woman will have no money for heat or hot water during the cold winter. She will not be able to secure her home from wild animals that have been going through holes the husband made in the walls.   She will not be able to buy healthy food for her heart or get preventative medical assistance to avoid a heart attack.

The woman took the loss with the grace of a genuine lady.   She faces possible death.   Her reaction was that she was the luckiest woman on Earth to have so many people care about her.   She said her friends made her richer than ""all the utilities, food and medical care in the world."   She also said that she came to terms with the likelihood of death years ago.   She just didn't want her husband to be in charge of the way she would die.   Her main worry was about her daughter.

Men's locker rooms are filled with ritualistic complaints about how women get too much in family courts.   One of my friends had to sell a Mercedes to pay for one of his kids to have an operation.   He got to keep his Ferrari and his Bentley.   He complains to this day about "the injustice."   Some of my friends have celebrated stiffing their wives with nothing after decades of marriage. I find such talk repulsive. Most of my friends are solid husbands and good fathers. I remember being taught that the most important job of a husband and father is to provide for his family.

Lamoreaux should be the subject of a federal civil rights investigation.   A record number of abuse victims die in Orange County each year. This is preventable. Judges should do what it takes to protect a women's right to live. Judges should make sure the wives' needs are met during and following a divorce. Conservatives will bomb clinics to protect an unborn child's right to live. We should all demand that judges protect the rights of our women. Those women may turn out to be our mothers, daughters or future wives.

Men have also have an important right.   We have the right is to be men. A real man protects the weak. He is respectful of women.   Anything less is not a man.   Animals may be fun to date but leave them at the door. When it comes to relationships, pick a real man.   We won't let you down.
