The true message of Wisdom is: "Ego! (our rational minds): Wake up to your depths and stop being a damn fool!"
How many times does one get kicked in the butt before he or she says, "Enough! I am refusing your abuse! I am leaving your backside behind!" Picking up a guitar to play at this point doesn't cut it, unless that guitar is inviting you towards action. (I do want to mention that I think that while the message is passive, it does entice us not to be passive. Otherwise, I would not be writing this article and using the song to support my thesis).
The problem we are questioning is HUGE! It's grounded in at least 6 to 10,000 years of history. This is when the Bible's "Book of Genesis" was written. It very well could be a metaphorical writing about what was going on in the human psyche at that time. It is imperative to remember that the movement was called "The Fall," meaning it was a time of stifling our evolution.
It doesn't matter if you are a theist, atheist or anarchist, which is really a refusal to put one's self into any theological or philosophical coffin. For me, that is the deepest religion in its epistemological form, "religere," which means, "to bind together." When we let go of "philosophy," THEN, says Goethe, "Give them the stone of Sophia (Wisdom) and you'll find philosophy gone, and what's left? The Stone!" becomes reality. The stone is simply our de-conditioned mind. In mystic terms, this IS the virgin birth.
Can you see now why the governments and religious institutions wanted to kill that Child in you and me?
Your reading and my writing IS religion. It is our binding together regardless of our being in agreement or not. Its all play, a back and forth. Yet, that back and forth is our being able to inseminate and become pregnant with a new way of being.
I'm not about to say, "You should follow me." Nor should you follow anyone else. A teacher is one who inseminates your thoughts, not control them.
In as much as Christ is seen as the incarnate Sophia of God, then so are you, the reader. In fact, en utero, your body built itself in the same fashion that the Earth (Gaia) built itself with life like us hairless monkeys. Your body's intelligence IS Sophia.
I don't care if you believe in Sophia's Play or not. Your belief is simply part of the drama/comedy of the play.
