Phew! Who the heck is writing that stuff for you Donald? You should tell them that "You're Fired!" This was not a foreign policy speech; it was a jumbled mass of incoherent nonsense -- at best. But I like your military math:
1991 -- U.S military men and women under arms was 2 million
2016 -- U.S. military men and women under arms is 1.3 million
Total? Obama that "wraskally" Magician has shrunk our military making us vulnerable." Translation dog whistle? Obama hates America!
1991 -- U.S. had 500 war ships
2016 -- U.S. has about 272 ships
Conclusion? Obama is weak and we're now weak and we can't dominate!.
My dear chap, the reasons why the United States' fighting force has been reduced are two fold, at least in my humble opinion. The first is that the so-called threat of Soviet Communism and expansionism is over and has been for a very long time so there is little need for a large standing force spanning the globe. And, two, technology, especially smart bomb technology, has made the United States not "less powerful" but more so since it has a complete lock on superior modern military technology.
That's why old 1991 ships and military hardware are now obsolete. The new ones are more efficient, more powerful, and much more technologically equipped. Donald, you're a businessman, a dealmaker or so you say, so do us all a favor "stop dabbling in things your "Doofie" mind find difficult to understand.
Finally, Trumpie will "apply leverage to China" (where he gets his clothes from) because of the "massive monies the United States lost" (to China). The U.S. government owes a lot of money. A lot. The total debt to China is only $1.3 trillion. So we're not in hock to China as much as some people think we are. The main reasons behind the amount of US Treasury notes (and real estate investments) that China owns is driven by the fact that they have, for many years now, been the largest global exporter of goods and their largest export market is the USA. So when China sells goods to the USA, they exchange them for dollars. Since China is a net exporter (exports more than it imports) it is usually left with a surplus of dollars and over time it has chosen US treasuries to invest that extra money.
Okay, okay this is really some complex sh**t. So we'll end here and just say: Screw all this economics, foreign policy and such! Who need that anywhere? All we have to do is just "Make America Great Again."
