Like Trump, Manafort's loyalty went as far as the dollar. And as long as Manafort was making money when tied to Trump, everything was fine. However, after his sentence included a $46 million fine, Manafort flipped and was able to save part of his fortune by asking the government to take his Trump Tower apartment in exchange for one of his bank accounts.
Stormy Daniels - "Horseface" - has done irreparable damage to Trump and it shows: his reaction to the dismissal of the defamation suit is childish in the extreme and although expected, showcases his disdain for women in general. The GOP should look upon his latest tweet as one huge setback to the female vote.*
"Should we penis-shame the President?" Answer: only when the President is such a braggart that he deserves it. His "Only I can defeat Isis" persona (remember that?) begs to be cut down if not totally and utterly humiliated. Daniels knows that Mark Twain's dictum "Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand!" is true and she acted wisely in both writing the book and teaming up with Michael Avenatti (who might have been a good, even-tempered match for Roy Cohn and his wild viciousness).
The Morality of it All
Trump's most ardent supporters - the Evangelical - or (in my own terminology) - Christofascist Right has shot back against flippers and leakers calling them demons (or demon-possessed) in their disloyal and "unpatriotic" turns against the President who is God's Chosen (the subject of another article, to be sure!).
Demonic attributes aside, what the Christofascist Right really hates about flippers, leakers and their books, tapes and statements is that they HAVE NO GUILT. No matter that flippers are revealing truth, but they show no remorse or guilt in doing so. They are, in other words, "out of control" or more definitively, out of THEIR control. They know the power they've exercised over Trump and his circle,
but that circle is getting smaller and smaller.
